Dr. Maroun El Khoury has been a highly regarded Consultant Oncologist/Hematologist at the American Hospital in Dubai since September 2010. Serving within the Mayo Clinic Network,a JCI-accredited institution, he holds the key position of Director of the Cancer Care Center
and served as the President of the Medical Staff from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, Dr. El Khoury chaired the Scientific Committee at the Emirates Oncology Society during the same period. Before his role in Dubai, from July 2006 to August 2010, he conducted a successful private practice in the United States, notably serving as the Medical Director of Oncology and Hematology Services and Chief of Medicine at Great River Health System in Iowa. During this time, he also served as the Hospice Medical Co-Director and an EPEC Trainer (Education in Palliative and End-of-Life Care).

Dr. El Khoury is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Hematology, with credentials from the University of Kansas and the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey, USA. His expertise is complemented by proficiency in Arabic, English, and French.
